Any funny thanksgiving stories?

Question

I'm working on an online teen magazine, and I'd like to have some funny Thanksgiving stories for the Nov. issue. Any one have a story?

When I was in high school my father had a consulting job in Turkey for 6 weeks or so, right you guessed it, and we heard, "Gee, most people have turkey inside of them on Thanksgiving, but your dad is inside Turkey for Thanksgiving."



It was funny the first time, cute the second time, and it was heard many more times then.

I'm from a very large family (11 kids). One Thanksgiving we went to my grandmother's new house in Prescott, AZ (we lived in California) where we met up with our cousins. Everyone was bringing pies, potatoes, etc. and my grandma was going to take care of the Turkey. It was getting close to dinner time and still there were no good smells of turkey coming from the kitchen. It turns out the oven was never turned on. My grandmother, who wasn't much of a cook had never used the oven before and didn't know how to turn it on. We had a vegetarian Thanksgiving that year (1967)

The Thanksgiving my brother got here downstairs dressed like Boy George back interior the day. He had on my mom's gown, diverse shade long ribbons in his hair and had a humorous finding hat on. certainly one of Boy George's music became on the radio on the time. i do no longer be responsive to how he placed all that stuff on and made it back downstairs in the past the music went off. whilst he got here down he started dancing and making a music like Boy George. It became hilarious!!!!!

i rember one thanksgiving we did my uncle b-day toghther and he was acting crazy he took picture with my brother and cousin and my brother was wearing a hat so my uncle took his hat and put it backward or side ways i still have the picture he wanted to act hip and young hes funny that way it was funny because the way he looked and acted 2nd story is last thanksgiving my aunt was running late and we couldnt eat until she got there so where here hungry and et she doesnt show up till way late so we all gave her a hard time
